内服：煎汤，3-10g。外用：种子适量，研末吹喉；或全株捣敷。

临床应用 Clinical Application
治感冒或中暑：篱栏子、猪肝菜、蚶壳草各30g，水煎服。
Treatment for cold or heatstroke: 30g of Lílánzi (Forsythia suspensa), Zhūgāncài (Pig liver vegetable), and Hān hé cǎo (Houttuynia cordata), decocted in water and taken orally.
治妇女白带：篱栏子250g，牛肉100g，加油、盐、酒适量调味。作菜煎汤吃，连吃数天。
Treatment for women's leukorrhea: 250g of Lílánzi (Forsythia suspensa), 100g of beef, seasoned with appropriate amounts of oil, salt, and wine. Cook as a dish or soup and consume for several days.
附注 Note
果能治喉痛、眼热、肝热。

加工炮制 Processing and Preparation
采收加工：全草全年或夏、秋季采收，洗净，切碎，鲜用或晒干。种子秋、冬季成熟时采收，除去果壳，晒干。
The whole plant is harvested throughout the year or in summer and autumn, washed, chopped, and used fresh or dried. The seeds are harvested in autumn or winter when ripe, the fruit shells are removed, and then they are dried.
药材鉴别 Identification of Medicinal Materials
药材性状：全草长100-300cm。茎圆柱形，稍扭曲，直径1-3mm；表面浅棕色至棕褐色，有细纵棱，具疣状小突起和不定根，节处常具毛；质韧，断面灰白色，中空。叶皱缩破碎，完整叶展平后呈卵形，长2-5cm，全缘或3裂，灰绿色或桔红色；叶柄细长。花少见，聚伞花序腋生，花小，黄色。蒴果扁球形或宽圆锥形，黄棕色，常开裂成4瓣。种子卵状三棱形，种脐处具簇毛。气微，味淡。以藤茎长、棕褐色、果多者为佳。
The whole plant grows 100-300cm tall. The stem is cylindrical, slightly twisted, with a diameter of 1-3mm; the surface is light brown to brown, with fine longitudinal ridges, wart-like small protrusions, and adventitious roots, often hairy at the nodes; tough in texture, with a gray-white hollow cross-section. The leaves are wrinkled and broken, and when fully expanded, they are ovate, 2-5cm long, entire or 3-lobed, gray-green or orange-red; with slender leaf stalks. Flowers are rare, in axillary umbels, small and yellow. The capsule is flattened spherical or broadly conical, yellow-brown, often splitting into 4 segments. Lilac fence, also known as golden flower jasmine vine and small-flowered pigweed. It is a climbing or creeping herbaceous plant, with adventitious roots growing on the lower stems when creeping. The stem is slender and has fine edges, with no hair or sparse stiff hairs. Sometimes there are hairs only on the nodes, and sometimes there are scattered small wart-like protrusions. The leaves are heart-shaped or ovate, 1.5-7.5 cm long, 1-5 cm wide, blunt at the apex, gradually pointed or long-pointed, with small short pointed tips, heart-shaped or deeply concave at the base, entire or usually irregularly serrated or sharply lobed, sometimes deeply or shallowly 3-lobed, nearly hairless or sparsely pubescent on both sides; petioles are slender and long, 1-5 cm, hairless or with short pubescence, with small wart-like protrusions. Umbel inflorescences arise from the leaf axils, with 3-5 flowers, sometimes more or occasionally solitary; the inflorescence stalk is thicker than the petiole, 0.8-5 cm long, with the first branching being dichotomous umbellate, and later becoming monochasial; flower stalks are 2-5 mm long, with small wart-like protrusions along with the inflorescence stalk; small bracts fall early; sepals are broadly ovate-spatulate or nearly rectangular, with the outer 2 sepals 3.5 mm long and the inner 3 sepals 5 mm long, hairless, truncate at the apex, distinctly with outward-pointing acute tips; corolla is yellow, bell-shaped, 0.8 cm long, hairless on the outside, with long soft hairs near the base on the inside; stamens are nearly as long as the corolla, with the lower part of the filaments enlarged and sparsely pubescent; ovary is globose, nearly as long as the corolla, with a spherical stigma. The capsule is flattened-globose or broadly conical, 4-lobed, with wrinkled valves, containing 4 seeds, triangular-spherical, 3.5 mm long, covered with rust-colored short pubescence on the surface, with a tuft of hairs at the hilum.
